Poker Hands
The Poker hands below are listed in highest to lowest. Thus a
Royal Flush would beat a Straight Flush and a Full House a Flush and so on.
Card suites are the four different symbols on the playing
cards, namely Clubs (♣), Diamonds (♦), Hearts (♥) and Spades (♠).
Royal Flush  |
Consists of an Ace, King, Queen, Jack and
10 all of the same suit.
For example:

Straight Flush |
Any five cards (2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 or 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7
and so on) in sequence of the same suit.
For example:

Four of a Kind  |
Irrelevant of the fifth card, Four of a Kind is when
the player has all four cards of the same rank (or
value), i.e. four Kings or four fives and so on.
For example:

Full House  |
A Full House occurs when the player has three of a
kind and One Pair.
For example:

Flush  |
Any five cards of the same suit but not in sequence.
For example:

Straight  |
Any five cards in sequence but not all the same
suit.
For example:

Three of a Kind  |
If the player has three cards of the same rank (or
value).
For example:

Two Pair  |
The player has two cards of the same rank and
another two cards of a different rank.
For example:
 |

One Pair  |
There is only two cards in the five that have the
same rank (or value).
For example:

These are the most common
Poker hands played, but be sure to
check the hands at the poker room that you are playing at, as some tend to offer
more hands or place restrictions on certain hands.
