Steve Billirakis Wins WSOP Event #3 €5,300 Pot Limit Omaha

World Series of Poker -Europe

Steve BillirakisEvent #3 at the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) attracted 180 players thus forming a first prize of €238,140, and a man who already has over $2 million in live tournament earnings, Steve Billirakis, has just pocketed that first prize.

In 2007, at the WSOP in Las Vegas, Steve Billirakis became the youngest person to ever win a gold bracelet, after winning the first event of that series only 11 days after his 21st birthday by beating Greg Mueller heads up.

The final table of the PLO event was simply mouth watering. Sam Trickett had not only earned over $3 million in live tournament earnings this year but he had also booked himself into the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event final table as chip leader (that event has a first prize of $1 million) to be played later in November. Trickett started the day as the chip leader and seemed in confident form. Also joining Trickett was WSOP Circuit champion Sam Chartier and WSOP Main Event November Niner Eoghan O'Dea.

It was the November Niner, Eoghan O'Dea, who was despatched first and Sam Chartier quickly followed him. Ramzi Jelassi started to shine and it was Jelassi who eliminated the next player - Erich Kollmann. Konstantin Uspenskiy left in sixth place and Jerome Bradpiece left in fifth. Not too long afterwards and the quick fire eliminations of Trickett and Jelassi left Billirakis heads up against Michele Di Lauro and the previous experience of Billirakis shone through as he took down his second WSOP event.
